The beat starts here.....
the heartbeat of Lombard business, that is

If you are a Lombard area business owner or representative, you
owe it to yourself and your company to join the Lombard Chamber of
Commerce and Industry.
An Atlanta-based market research firm, The Schapiro Group, has
revealed that consumers are 63 percent more likely to buy from
chamber members. This information alone should be enough to
convince you that membership is valuable. However, attendance at the
various networking opportunities, business luncheons, the annual
business expo, educational seminars and much more will allow you to
showcase your business and acquaint yourself with fellow business
members throughout the community. For example, 60 business men
and women were in attendance at the above pictured Lilacia AM Open
Networking event last week. This is a terrific example of how
networking and referrals will help you to spread the news about your
own business and afford you the opportunity to exchange ideas with
others. This event is offered on the second Friday of every month from
7:30-9 a.m. at Sweet Tomatoes, 2820 Highland Ave., Lombard. Free
coffee and muffins are served. Open to all.
Call the Lombard Chamber of Commerce and Industry at 630-627-
5040 and discover all that membership can do for you. Join today and
let the Lombard Chamber start working for you with the able help of
Executive Director Yvonne Invergo and her effervescent assistant,
Georgette Mrofcza. I would be remiss if I failed to mention that this is
the National Chamber of Commerce Week. Join now!

Food for thought.....
We who live in free market societies believe that growth, prosperity
and ultimately human fulfillment, are created from the bottom up, not
the government down. Only when the human spirit is allowed to invent
and create, only when individuals are given a personal stake in
deciding economic policies and benefitting from their success—only
then can societies remain economically alive, dynamic, progressive,
and free. Trust the people.
