An Odyssey in Dining
If you have yet to enjoy an evening at Odyssey Greek Taverna, located in Lombard at 667 W. Roosevelt Road, you’re missing out on a delightful dining experience. The restaurant itself is warm and inviting. The decor features authentic romantic Greek taverna style. An endless array of traditional Greek dishes are served to an appreciative and ever-growing clientele.
An express lunch menu is available Monday through Friday and is priced at a very reasonable $7.95, and includes soup of the day with each meal. Traditional Greek fare is offered along with very American hamburgers and wraps. There’s something to please everyone.

The cocktail lounge is comfortable. Sports fans can enjoy their favorite games on several flat screen TVs. The friendly bartenders make this a good place to meet friends for after work cocktails. Friday and Saturday nights, live music is featured in the bar.
A very nice wine list is available and features some interesting imported Greek wines. Warm and cold appetizers include an array of tasty, traditional spreads, calamari, mixed grill, flaming saganake cheese and many more favorites. All very reasonably priced from as little at $5.95. I must add that the fresh bread is really good.

The dinner menu offers generous entrees and prices range from $11.50 to $24.95, including soup or salad.
My personal Greek dining odyssey consisted of perfectly braised lamb in traditional tomato sauce, coupled with delicious roasted potatoes, priced at $14.25. My dining partner enjoyed charbroiled tender lamb riblets au jus for a mere $12.95. As owner Pete likes to say, “This is a great value for your dollar!”
Family style dinners are available and a charmingly appointed banquet room is available for larger parties.

Gather your friends or family and enjoy your own dining odyssey at this fine traditional Greek taverna......a touch of Greece right here in Lombard.
